OUR SHOFARS ARE SIMPLY THE BEST

Why buy a shofar from us?  It's simple!  We supply the very best Yemenite and Rams' Horns.

YHVH (God) has personally called me to be a shofar blower and watchman.  I  blow a shofar in services and in other situations.  I go into congregations, churches and conferences and teach on the shofar and Hebraic roots.  I've never had a music lesson so I determine what is good horn for an average person like me, through the inspiration of God.  I know what a good shofar sounds like and I only pick horns that are not only melodic but powerful when sounded.
In most locations and at most suppliers, supplying shofars is simply a business.  They import them or buy them from the same suppliers I buy them from.  They put them in their warehouse and when you order one they pick the size and simply ship the next one to you.  Since only about 10% really blow well the chances are one in ten that you will get a good sounding horn.
We treat it like it is - a ministry to the Body.  We consider ourselves YHVH's "armorers".  We can not afford to put a "weapon" in your hands that will let you down in battle.  We also "repair" horns to achieve their best potential.  Sometimes this works well and sometimes there is simply no hope for the horn.  This is usually because you or someone you know bought the horn because of looks or price.  I personally don't care what a horn looks like as long as the sound is clear.  Some of the ugliest horns have been the most powerful.
We also do not sell certain shofars.  We do not sell anything under a medium ram's horn (15"-18").  The smaller horns are simply "tourist" horns and very difficult to blow.  We sell very few medium yemenites because a good 3 note horn is very rare.  Small yemenites are even more rare and a "mini" is simply a cracked medium to large that has been cut down and palmed off to someone who has no understanding except how to make a dollar.

I receive horns many  ways:

    1. I personally travel to the supplier and blow every horn he has.  I then pick only the best.  I have sometimes only picked two horns out of a box of fifty.  I then take them to my workshop and I rework the mouthpieces to produce a better sounding horn.  I polish and buff the mouthpieces so that they are "easy" on the lips so you can blow it easier and longer.  If you have a horn that needs some work, please check out our "Shofar Service and Repair".
    2. Another way is to have the horns shipped to me from my contacts in Israel.  These are usually people who are shofar blowers or manufacturers. They will pick out a few horns for me and ship them directly to me.  I will also rework these horns.
    3. Finally I will travel to Israel myself and pick the horns directly from the manufacturers.  Sometimes I will walk the shops and look for the one that "slipped through" since most of the horns at these shops are "seconds" and strictly for the tourist market.

We do not just take your order and ship.  We will call every person ordering and determine their needs.  That means you can call us directly or we call you and we will prayerfully pick out a horn after we talk to you.  Or we can sound the horns for you, over the phone, and let you pick out the one that you like.
We will spend the time to make sure you understand what you are getting and its implications.  Being a shofar blower is not for everyone and definitely not for the faint-hearted!
You may spend a little more with us but you'll never regret purchasing your horn from us.  We will later take it in trade although it hasn't happened yet. (A good horn usually is sold or given to someone else).

The last question is "How many do you expect to buy in your lifetime?

Spend a few dollars more and get the best!  References are available upon request.
